“The Burning Question” Painting
Original gouache and pigment painting on handmade Japanese washi paper
8.25” x 8.25”
The burning question is a tattoo motif originated by Ed Hardy. It serves as a reminder to live in the moment. Fudo Myo-o is a Buddhist deity known as the Immovable King of Wisdom. He strikes down ignorance and impurity and protects those on a righteous path. This is my play on common themes between the two designs.
